We know that leaving home for the first time can be daunting – particularly when you are setting yourself up in a new city where you’re not necessarily fluent in the language or familiar with the system…

… but we also happen to think that this is one of the most exciting elements of getting to study at the University of London Institute in Paris (ULIP)! Finding your own accommodation – with our support – enables our students to take control of their budgets, commutes, friendships, and day-to-day lives, as well as offering a great introduction to many of the cross-cultural and linguistic skills that studying abroad is all about.

The Student Services team at ULIP have helped hundreds of our students find studio flats, shared apartments, family-stays and student halls over the years, navigating landlords, contracts, and utility companies along the way. The student network – probably best represented in the Facebook Group – has also been an invaluable resource for putting prospective students in touch with each other, as well as with landlords and rental opportunities. So, to help smooth your path to finding somewhere to settle in Paris, Student Services have teamed up with SU President, Ellie Clutton, to create this video – offering our top tips and advice for planning your accommodation search.
