I completed my BA at the EHESS (School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences) and my PhD in French Language & Literature at the University of Paris-Sorbonne. My doctoral research focused on French Autobiographical Comics. The publication of a monograph derived from this research is forthcoming (with Presses Universitaires François-Rabelais). Before joining ULIP, I taught at the EHESS and Paris-Sud University.

My principal research interests include text/image culture, visual representations and narratology. Basically, I am interested in how visual arts tell us a lot about some narrative modalities and their contemporary changes. My research has led to a number of publications on the concept of autofiction, self-representation, and enunciative structures in graphic narrative and literature.

Currently, I am working on two major publication projects, the rewriting of my thesis and a collective work on what style means in comics, Style(s) de bande dessinée (with Garnier). I am notably leading a chapter on some major players in constructing style: fandom, criticisms, museums, censors.
